Went for the NUS Open House with Kymberlyn today. Since we were quite early, we were the first people to enter the MPSH. Being typical students, we chose to sit around the back part of the hall but the usher asked us to fill the places in front. So, we moved in front, to about 5 rows from the front. Seeing this, the usher came again to ask us to fill up the first row.
First of all, I do not understand what's so nice about sitting in front. You would have to raise your head to look at the speaker and this will give me a neck-ache.
Next, I believe in freedom so why should I conform to moving in front? Therefore, I told the usher that there would be people coming in later to fill the front seats up so there was no need for us to move. I guess he realised that he couldn't do anything to us so he left to bother others with his ushering.
Anyway, I so regret attending the Office Admissions talk. All I heard from the lecture was how great NUS is and why we should choose NUS instead of other universities. Luckily, the guy ended his speech early or else I might just snore in it. Following the lecture, Kym and I were figuring out where the exhibition hall was when these two guys came up to ask if we would like to join the sports camp. Since we both have an intense dislike for camps, we said no. In addition to it, both of us are bad at reading maps so in the end, I had to ask the two guys if they knew where the exhibition hall was. Turned out that they too did not know where it was. However, clever me re-read the map and found the place :) After saying thanks, I turned to leave when they asked the same 'Do you want to join sports camp?' question. OMG, don't they get the meaning of no?
The exhibition hall turned out to be quite interesting, and I was there, shamelessly taking all the freebies(and brochures) I could take. I guess I'm quite interested in the Dentistry Course but the only obstacle is that I need a good A level pass for Physics, which I currently only obtained an O. Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences sounded quite okay to me too. I so want to take Japanese studies and go for the Student Exchange Programme to Japan. Then again, the obstacle obstructing me to do so is Physics again. I think I need a Physics tutor, either that, I drop Physics and throw away the possibility of getting admitted to Dentistry.
After finishing what we had to do at the exhibition hall, Kym, Andrew and I went over to the Cultural Centre to have a drink. Broke Andrew got a drink treat from Kym and a cake treat for me. I think I'm such a nice classmate :)
After that, I met Li Ming for a movie called 'Boogeyman'. It was so freaking scary and I was like screaming throughout the whole show. I think the people in the cinema must have had thought that I was crazy or something:)
