Eating and shopping

Last Wednesday, I went out with Sean and hy to a Japanese K-Box called Diamond Dust. We first entered this building filled with Japanese shops. We tried finding the shop but failed so we asked a security guard for directions. The security guard just gave us some vague directions because I think he himself didnt even know if Diamond Dust was in that building. True enough, he bluffed us because Diamond Dust was situated in the building opposite that particular building and it was so freaking difficult to locate. Considering that it was also raining that day, it made things worse. So after searching for half an hour and a bit soaked from the rain, we finally reached Diamond Dust! It was freaking empty...

The Garnet room we were in. $25.50 exclusive of GST for 2 hours. Rather worth it! Song selection was not bad too.

I might get strangled by hy for putting up this picture but whatever la...so cute right? Haha, at least I didnt upload the video :) Sean basically didnt sing much. All he did was press the clap button. Haha.

After karaoke was dinner time! We went to Pin Xian at Marina Bay. Since we all dont eat prawns, we told the guy we did not want any. Then came this 3 shitty Chinese nationals who placed their prawns bucket at our table and when we asked them about it, they lied by saying that those weren't theirs. Damn, think I blind cannot see or what?!

Sean's buttered corn.

The sweet sweet corn soup. The food was damn cheap! $10 only and you get 3 sticks of satay, ice cream, shark's fins soup(fake of course) and of course the other kinds of food la. Varieties a bit little though. Then again, they have their own van to bring customers to and fro from the MRT station. Damn good.

~~~
Yesterday, my colleagues from Just Education and I went to Marina Bay(yea again) for steamboat. Rosemary and I waited for like one over hour before everyone arrived so we were like salivating even before we started eating. We went to Zhen Fa Huo Hai Xian and damn were there lots of food. It was $12 and it was freaking worth it! Everything was like eat till you die. Anyway, while in the midst of eating, the table next to us had a change of aluminium foil but they forgot to switch off the fire before doing so. Thus, the old aluminium foil caught fire and started burning. Since we were so close to them, I naturally started screaming...like some siao char bo or something and my colleagues kept making fun of me. Later they started cooking the live prawns and they all barred me from doing so for fear that I'll start screaming again...which I did when I saw the prawn move. We ate a lot(we had 3 changes of the aluminium foil) and of course talked a lot. Haha.
Huixin, Rosemary, Jasmine, Me, Shermaine.
Huixin, Rosemary, Swee Hong, Jasmine, Me.
Actually we have to tell the company if we are going out together but then again, who bothers to do so? Haha, so lame. Anyway, we ate till around 11pm before everyone started to leave. I reached home like about 12 midnight...luckily I didnt have work the next day.:) More pictures
here.
~~~

Dropped by my workplace to settle some stuff before I headed for BPGHS to meet Donna there today. As I entered the school compound, I was greeted by the sight of a security guard post. WTF? Since when did BP require a security guard? Two somemore! What a wastage of resources...

Me: Hello, can I see a Miss Donna Tan please?
Security Guard: Who? Erm, why not you exchange your concession card for a visitor's pass and you head for the office to ask them to intercom her for you?
Me: Um, ok.
Security Guard: But hor, you cannot go around the school looking for her yourself. You cannot go up and down or walk around the school building yourself ok.
Me: (WTF?)Erm, yeah, I know, I was from this school.

So I proceeded to the school's office and asked the admin staff about Donna.

Me: Hi, can I see a Miss Donna Tan please? Relief teacher?
Admin Woman, AW: Do you have an appointment with her?
Me: (Of course la, or else why I come here for what?)Yup, I do.
AW: Aiya, just sit outside and wait for her la. (Proceeds to do other stuff.)

WTF? Thanks for being so 'helpful' lo. So yea, I sat outside the office and just nice it was dismissal time and everyone who walked passed the office gave me weird stares. Damn paiseh. And oh by the way, I saw Shawn Lee, like it's of any great importance like that...

I waited and waited. The first teacher I saw was Angeline Ee...damn. The next was Vincent Lee. Double damn. The two teachers I dislike the most because they refused to give me CCA points due to the fact that the award I won was for the school, not for my CCA. What kind of fucking logic is that? Anyway, Vincent Lee looks freaking weird with that crew cut...not that he was any normal last time. Next teacher was Tom Chan...damn, whatever happened to his hair? Haha. Following that I saw Mdm Quek and I asked her if she saw Donna. I had to wait for Mdm Quek to come out of the toilet first because I can only walk around the school if I was accompanied by her. While waiting, I turned back to look at the admin office and I saw a pair of eyes staring at me. Damn! Almost scared me to death...

Mdm Quek and Mr Tom Chan said that I changed quite a lot since they last saw me. Of course la, I had makeup on mah. Then, as I was walking towards the office where Donna was, Mdm Quek's students thought that I was her daughter and said that I looked like her. Haha :D How come I look like everybody? I went out with Rosemary and the shop auntie thought that we were sisters. I went out with Kym and once again, they thought we were sisters...

Anyway, I saw Suzanna Lee in the office and she had a hard time remembering who I was...until I told her who my sister was. Haha. Besides that, she thought that my Paris Hilton Guess bag was nice...haha, I wonder if I should take that as a compliment?

Went to Bugis with Donna and my sister today. Ate at Pastamania and shopped at Icon. Icon is like freaking cool, except for the space constraint, but the things are freaking cheap! Plus, there's like a 10% discount card upon asking for it...ok, not for all shops la.

Meet Chenille, Fins and Pellet! Damn kawaii! The shopkeeper who sold these toys was damn nice!

Woohoo, accessories were like freaking cheap and pretty! Not very clear here though. The auntie who sold these was so cute! I really liked her! Haha.

Cool bracelet. Normally people place stuff in plastic bags but for this shop, they placed accessories in a pouch!

Kawaii hanger!

Nice heels I got! Haha, all my shoes are like the same pattern one...look at the pair I got from U.R.S.

Haha, I have no originality...

I really like shopping at Icon but too bad Donna had to go home early...never mind la, find another day go shop again. Haha :D From this shopping trip, I realised that my sister is a damn good bargainer...haha.

Note to myself: Bring sister along for future shopping sprees.

Ok la, this post is getting too lengthy...and I better go pack my luggage for my Malaysia trip! 6 days of no internet! Noooo! Wish me luck.

Fucking pissed

So, I havent updated here in like ages...and that's because I didnt really feel like doing so. After a day's work of handling parents, whether face to face or over the phone, at the tuition centre, by the time I reach home, I'm already fucking pissed and I dont even feel like blogging...I rather go over to YouTube and watch random videos. While watching, I stumbled over this. It's a video of Joey Yung dancing and singing to a Cantonese version of Bi's It's Raining. Fuck. She cant dance and the lyrics are just weird in Cantonese...especially the 'It's Joey, Go Joey' part. I cant even see her damn boobs! Then again, that's not the main point I'm trying to make here. In short...the video seriously sucks.

Anyway, let's return to the topic of parents that I handle everyday. The more parents I handle, the more I feel that they are the ones that require tuition classes...not their children. Not all, but some la. Some seriously fucking idiotic ones. So we are closed on this coming Saturday all the way to the 1st of February. To inform all parents and students, we handed out circulars just in case some blur kid turns up for lessons during the holiday stretch. Then, today, I received a call.

Idiot Parent, IP : You're closed on Saturdays har?
Me : (already pissed off since yesterday due to many many incidents) Yes we are.
IP: Then like that hor, we only get 3 lessons out of this month. No makeup ar?
Me: (read the circular before calling please) Erm, no.
IP: No refund?
Me: (go fucking read the circular) No.
IP: Why like that? Like that my money so wasted lei. That time Christmas also like that.
Me: (like I give a damn like that...nevertheless, I was still patient.) Madam, you see, some months there are 5 Saturday weeks, therefore it actually equals out.
IP: But hor, Sat very rare got 5 weeks lei. Like that my money still wasted what.
Me: (frantically checks calendar and realises that there are 4 months in which there are 5 weeks of Saturday this year) Erm Madam, April, September ...(forgot what other months) have 5 Saturdays lei...therefore it actually equals out.
IP: But that time the Christmas week so wasted lei.
Me: (stop harping on that fucking Christmas week!)

I forgot how the conversation ended but it involved lots of repeating myself. The next parent was a little better...just retarded.

Retarded Parent, RP : Can I check vacancies for Secondary 1 Maths?
Me : Sure. (checks) Sorry but Sec 1 Maths has no vacancies available currently.
RP : Why no vacancies ar?
Me : Erm, because the classes are full already.
RP : Why cannot open another class har?
Me : (Fuck, open class just for you meh?) Not enough teachers.
RP : Then, can I check Pri 3 Maths?
Me : Sorry but Pri 3 Maths is over at the other building, you'll have to call the other building.
RP : Pri 3 Maths got vacancies?
Me : (Fuck...dont understand English ar?) We dont have Pri 3 Maths here, you'll have to call the other building.
RP : Oh, ok.

Fuck. There are parents who are even worse. When we say the class is full, we fucking mean it. However, they think we are kidding them and keep asking us to squeeze their child in. One person wont make a difference. Like fuck, it does can...Plus, I hate parents who treat me as a complaint outlet. I dont want to listen to your crap, thank you very much. I'm paid to do work as a EOA, not Aunt Agony...

Then after the parents come my superior. I announced yesterday that I was going back in 5min...and then she gave me something to do. Fuck. Never mind I did it for her and was about to pack my bag when she asked me to go over next door to get something for her. FUCK. She has no hands or legs is it? Why the fuck do I have to get it for her? I want to fucking go home can? Somemore talk bad about me behind my back...although it's just a one-liner, dont think I wont get to know about it.

Damn, I'm feeling so sucky now and I really feel like crying...I almost cried yesterday and I had to go home early before I really went crazy...I sorta feel like quitting now...Every week I got to print hundreds of worksheets for teachers and some how or rather, worksheets keep getting missing and I get fucking blamed for it. When things go right, no one thanks me but when things go wrong...I get blamed. Thanks. Fuck. Plus, we always do OT but dont get paid for it...

Then today, I had a class till 6pm. Normally we are supposed to close accounts at 5.30pm. However today, no one closed the accounts although it was after 6pm...naturally I asked why not closed yet. I did not expect to meet with a 'You cannot see everyone's busy ar? Eat also must eat while working. Where got time to close?'...said by my colleague. Maybe she meant it as a joke but I was already fucking pissed by then(with those idiotic parents), therefore I took it quite seriously. What do I look like? A slacker? I'm the only one who has nothing to do but only knows how to sit there and complain why havent close accounts is it? Fine, but just to let you know, I just fucking took a class and closing's supposed to be done at 5.30pm. So I dont think I was wrong to ask that question. Plus, I cleared all the fucking rubbish today on top of closing the accounts. I really hate it when I'm pissed with someone and that someone is totally oblivious to it...

I really need the New Year break.

Out with Li Ming

Went out with Li Ming on Tuesday. Damn, it has been such a long time since I went out with her. So first of all, I treated her to lunch at Tonkichi. The potato croquette curry was really really good and large. Definitely worth for money! The houji tea was also quite nice, different from the normal tea they serve at Japanese restaurants.

After lunch, we went to watch A Chinese Tall Story. Seriously, I thought that the show was freaking funny, although some China couple was like dissing the show after it ended. Well, guess they didnt quite like the idea of twisting the story of Journey to the West.

I cant believe I'm saying this but Nicholas Tse was really cute in the show. That lousy 'huh huh huh' monk...haha. The buddha with the jewelled ears was really hilarious and I think that the part where he appeared garnered the most laughs!

After the movie, we went shopping at Kinokuniya where I finally got to use my Christmas vouchers. Didnt buy much also...I mean, how much can you buy with $30?

On wednesday, I met Li Ming at Jantzen. She got a ceramic perm while I got some highlights. Man, the keratin smell was really overpowering! As if that wasnt enough, the hairstylist made me feel like a roasted chicken that just came out of the oven...

Li Ming under that scary-looking machine.

So basically this is how my hair looks like:

Ok, not very obvious...here's another:

Still not very obvious...whatever la...

On Thursday, went to watch movies with my sis. Watched Derailed and In Her Shoes. Derailed was interesting but the storyline was so predictable. In Her Shoes had a nice storyline but I hated the transitions. Plus, this crazy woman was like laughing throughout the movie...No one was laughing by the way. I wonder how her boyfriend feels everytime they go watch a movie. Wait...that's why he brings her to the movies, like that no one can see who they are :P

By the way, it's Friday the 13th today :D

My Crazy Mum

Aaron's MSN's nick is 'be nice to your parents or they fuck you up your ass'. Seriously, this statement needs to be adjusted to 'even if you're nice to your parents, they'll still fuck you up your ass'. My mum has been trying to get my sister to go back to school and the methods she has been using are actually harming me too.

Just yesterday, my 'know-it-all' mum went to disconnect the internet...by taking away the whole freaking modem. Fuck. Like that how am I going to use the internet? She wanted to bar my sister from using the internet if she refuses to attend school but what about me? What did I do? Thus, I kicked up a big fuss by arguing with my mum over the phone and by bombarding her inbox with lots of SMSes. She told me to blame my sister for the loss of the internet and it's not her fault that the internet's gone. WTF? I dont see why I should blame my sister when she's not exactly the one who plugged out all the wires. So, I told my mum to stop being a wuss and she has to take the blame because she's the one who did it. Somehow or rather, the modem reappeared at night when I returned from work. However, I refused to eat whatever she cooked last night because she still didnt say sorry and I sort of watched my Fin.K.L DVD at loud volumes while she was about to fall asleep.

Slept around 3am last night and was planning to sleep in till 10am this morning when I was awoken by shoutings at around 6am. My mum was like banging on my sister's door and shouting like mad...at freaking 6am! Considering that my bedroom's right opposite my sister's and my room door was opened because I didnt switch on the air-con, yup, I was rudely awoken by her incessant shoutings. Thanks to my mum for being so fucking considerate.

So I closed my room door and slept till 10am. When I woke up, I decided to go shopping at Orchard because I cant seem to find my Hello Kitty notebook I bought, thus I needed to buy another one to make up for the loss. Damn.

Reached Kino and they told me the organiser's out of stock...Shit...

Ate at this nice place called TOAST. The smoked salmon sandwich rocked!

Watched The Family Stone today. Seriously, the movie sucked although Rachael McAdams was freaking chio. The movie had a damn lousy plot...

1) I thought Meredith(SJP) and Everett were a pair of lovebirds considering that he brought her to meet his family on Christmas. Then why the fuck did he like stare at Meredith's sister, Julie, ever so humsup-ly when she got down from the bus?
2) What's with Ben seducing his prominent sister-in-law, Meredith, right from the start of the show?
3) Why the exchange of partners at the end of the show? Very fun ar?
4) Why didnt Meredith get jealous when she realised that Everett was in love with her sister? I dont believe anyone can be so nice lor.
5) I think Everett got together with Meredith to cover up the fact he's a little gay orientated but suddenly got that 'I've found my true love' alert when he saw Julie. Ok, I dont know what the hell I'm talking about.

I almost fell asleep in the cinema if not for the big group of ang-moh teenagers who were like so noisy during the show. The stupid ang-moh boys were like running up and down in the theatre before the show started. Immature. Then in the middle of the show, someone's handphone rang and they had the cheek to ask that person to keep quiet when they themselves were like a bunch of noisy irritants.

After the movie, my sister and I went to Raffles Place to eat at The Soup Spoon and I also took a photo of Johnny Depp's Mont Blanc advertisment. Damn, he looks so good here. (Dont mind the ugly black line.)

The reason why we went to Raffles Place was because I thought that Raffles City was at Raffles Place. So when I couldnt find MPH, I went to ask the MRT staff and they told me Raffles City is actually at City Hall MRT. Damn, so paiseh. Reminds me of that time when I was supposed to meet Lisa, Bjorn and David at Buona Vista and I went all the way to Boon Lay because I thought Buona Vista=Boon Lay...

Found this hilarious picture from
Oh No They Didn't. Haha, so true.

I never knew Hello Panda biscuits had choco peanut flavour. Cool!

56th Kouhaku

Happy belated new year!

Downloaded two clips from the 56th Kouhaku but I cant seem to open one of them to watch. Fuck. Somemore it's the DEF.DIVA and Morning Musume performances one...damn. So I'm left with only the Kouhaku medley. I was like 'WTF' after I watched it and this is why:

Clip I downloaded was a medley of popular old songs. The first song was 'Ban Ban Ban' which was performed by Hikawa Kiyoshi and some other guys I dont recognise. To tell the truth, I think Hikawa Kiyoshi looks damn cute here!
Ok, this picture doesnt do him justice but screencapping this video was damn difficult because of the lousy quality of the video.

Aah, better picture. The blur look is just too cute! I think he forgot his dance steps here or something as he was talking to Ayaya.

Next song was '17 sai' but there was nothing interesting about that performance so no screencaps. Same goes for 'Toshishita no Otoko no ko' which was performed by Mikitty, Takahashi Ai and Konno Asami.

Following that was 'UFO'. Erm, what the fuck is this?! They basically just sang, or chanted, 'UFO, UFO'.

I thought Maeda Ken was bad enough...this is 10 times worse.

'Playback Part 2' followed then next was a song I like...'YMCA'. Kishidan with Wada Akiko...weird combination.

Was it really necessary for the dancers to wear like that while singing 'YMCA'?

'Sailor fuku wo nugasanaide'. Rika!!! Sexay~

Next up was SMAP with the song...'Dragostea Din Tei~Koi no Maiahi'. WTF?! Is this song even an old popular Japanese song?! So freaking out of place.

Kusanagi Tsuyoshi looks good with this hairstyle...he should never change it.

KimuTaku and his weird shirt. 'You got the money, I got the soul'.
His hair reminds me of Zai Zai, and that's not a compliment.

So, ya, the end of the clip. I'll go download BoA now.

Sidetracking now. Cats seem to love my father's car very much. Remember this?

The other day my father sent me to work and when we arrived downstairs, we saw this.

Ok la, this entry is getting seriously boring and pointless, so I'll end here...with a picture of me at the dentist's, which is basically my father's workplace. Haha.
